Unlike other social media apps, ShareTree will not mine, sell, or distribute your information or trends to advertisers. We strive to be a place of low frequency, high impact authentic human interactions.

We are committed to protecting your Privacy in accordance with Australian Principles. We also recognise that when you choose to provide us information about yourself that you trust us to act responsibly and in your best interests; therefore, we have the following policies in place to protect your personal information.

Storing Your Information

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your information held by us is accurate up-to date, complete, applicable, is not misleading and will only be used for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy. We will maintain security safeguards to protect your information and will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your information is not disclosed to any unauthorised person or entity.

Should you decide to have your account removed from the ShareTree App, we will remove your account information. However, to maintain the integrity of Character Leaves (character acknowledgements) and Character Buds that you may have sent to users, or received from users, your name may still appear. Your user profile however will be deactivated.

Information We Collect

We may collect personal information supplied by you when you sign up and/or download the application(s) in order to facilitate your access to third party products and/or professional services. Such information will enable us to analyse our services and enable us to provide a higher level of customer service (which may include informative or character growth activities).

We may also collect the following information/tracking data for statistical purposes and to help us understand how to make our website/application(s) more available and user friendly for you and to measure the success of any activities we may under take:

- your IP address and/or GPS location.
- the date and time of your visits to our website and/or use of our application(s).
- your clicks and activity on our website and/or application(s).
- the referring site and/or app if any through which you clicked through to our website and/or application(s).
- technical information on your browser, device and operating systems.

Emotional Pulse App

First & Last Name Profile Picture	Your name will be displayed on searches within the app to enable other users to connect with you
Country	We use this to populate Emergency Services contact number within your app (if it is available)
State	This is only for certain countries and required to assist you in joining support groups closer to you
Phone Number	This will only be shared with your Trusted Support and if you are a Trusted Support, your number will be made available to those whom you support.

ShareTree App

Information Collected	How we use this Information
First & Last Name Profile Picture	Your name will be displayed on searches within the app to enable other users to connect with you This information will also be used to help Schools & Charities search for suitable volunteers.
Email ID	Your email is stored to enable you to login to our app, and for our Culture Connect users, they will receive a monthly report as Admins
Facebook, Linked In	Your details are stored in order to allow you to login to our app and share Culture content with your network. NOTE ShareTree doesn’t access your feed, contacts, or post on your behalf without your permission.
Date of Birth Gender Job Details Postcode Purpose, Vision, ShareTree Global Initiatives Certifications & Clearances Sharing Preferences	This is used when you are searching for volunteering opportunities in the community

Information We Release

We will only release information about you as authorised by yourself, required by law or where required in order for us to provide services to yourself (e.g. to third party providers, etc.). Where supplied to such third parties, the information provided will only be sufficient for the third party to provide their products and/or professional services and may not be used by them for any other purpose.

We will not release your information for any purpose except as detailed above, we do not share, give, sell, rent, or lease information to third parties and your personal information will only be disclosed to those employees within our organisation who have a need to know in order to ensure you are provided with information about our services or to request any third party products and/or professional services through our website and/or application(s).

Under the Privacy Act legislation you can ask to see any information we may hold about you and you also have the right to have any inaccuracies in the same corrected by us. We will comply with any such requests to the extent required by the Privacy Act legislation within fourteen (14) days of the receipt of your request.
